But the adventure doesn’t end there! After your tour, take your time wandering back through the beautifully lit cavern at your own pace — with 20 minutes to soak in the atmosphere, snap some unforgettable photos, and relive the magic.
PLUS the cavern will be illuminated with atmospheric coloured lighting, transforming this ancient space into something truly spectacular.
Why not combine your cavern visit with a walk through our woodland Country Park to Grin Low viewpoint, lunch at the cavern cafe or time to explore the town of Buxton Spa.
Important Information – Please read carefully
- The temperature underground is a constant 7° centigrade, 44 Fahrenheit.
- There are 28 steps in the cavern, no more than 11 in one place.
- We suggest the use of child carriers over pushchairs for the best experience due to the steps and narrow passageways.
- Pushchairs can be left at your own risk at our cave entrance.
- There are just two low points: the first located at the entrance and one located by the first set of steps. Both low points are clearly marked with ‘Mind Your Head’ signs.
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a short lead, (please purchase one Dog ticket per dog – seprate charge to this voucher, please ask before entry)
- Please note each tour is limited to no more than 4 dogs.
- Carer tickets are for registered carers accompanying a paying visitor; Carer cards or proof must be shown on arrival.
